📅 Date: Friday, November 15th
🕔 Time: 6:00 PM – 9:30 PM
📍 Location: Forno, 322 Andrews Rd, London E8 4RP, United Kingdom
Sali e Tabacchi Journal is delighted to partner with Forno for Pasta Ecologies: Fuoco, a hands-on pasta workshop led by artist and researcher Adriana Gallo. This unique evening will explore the foundational role of fire in cuisine, bringing to life the concept of “Pyro Commons”—the ways in which fire connects us through shared practices and culinary heritage.
Workshop Details:
Our workshop opens with a conversation around key pasta-making topics: from pasta's ecological roots to labor, regional traditions, and pasta’s poetic and material elements. Following this introduction, Adriana will guide participants in making a traditional Southern Italian eggless dough using grano arso, a burnt wheat flour known for its deep, earthy flavors. Together, we’ll craft, shape, and finally, cook the pasta, ending the evening with a communal meal prepared by Adriana.
Included with your Ticket:
A welcome beverage
Guided pasta-making workshop
Communal vegetarian meal with our freshly made pasta (contains gluten and dairy)
Additional wine is available for purchase by the glass or bottle
